American People, the supporters of the alcohol industry have sought to expand their presence and undermine restrictions by peddling the lie that they would grow the economy. But the truth is the social medical and economic damages caused by alcohol cost our society 249 billion dollars a year. That is equivalent to an over 1% decreasei nthe economy per year. For every dollar the government gets in taxes from alcohol, it spends 3 just in its share of medical costs of alcohol caused illnesses. The alcohol industry makes America sicker, poorer, and more highly taxed. Do the sensible thign and tell the alcohol industry to get lost.
